Estonia is a digital-first nation and EU member in the Baltic region, recognized for its e‑government and e‑tax innovations. Its accounting and business systems were early adopters of e‑invoicing, now moving toward mandatory standardized electronic invoicing across both public and private sectors. The country leads EU integration of Peppol and EN 16931-compliant formats.
