Argentina was a Latin American pioneer: mandatory electronic invoicing for virtually all VAT-registered taxpayers (including freelancers, exporters, SMEs) since 2015. Invoices require AFIP-issued authorization codes (CAE), with QR/barcode validation and monthly summary reporting.
