Australia and New Zealand confirm updated PINT A-NZ migration timeline, mandating invoices and credit notes from November 2024 and fully phasing out legacy specifications by May 2025.
An adjusted rollout plan for the PINT A-NZ specification has been confirmed, requiring businesses and service providers in both countries to align with the revised migration schedule.
Revised Peppol Authority Specific Requirements were released on 23 January 2024 via OpenPeppol, introducing updated milestones for the transition away from the legacy A-NZ specifications.
Updated Migration Schedule
From 15 November 2024
The following specifications apply:
- PINT A-NZ Invoice – Mandatory
- PINT A-NZ Credit Note – Mandatory
- PINT A-NZ Self-Billing – Optional
- PINT A-NZ Self-Billing Credit Note – Optional
From 15 May 2025
- Legacy A-NZ specifications will be fully phased out
- Only PINT A-NZ specifications will be supported
Required Actions for Providers
According to the PINT A-NZ Service Provider Engagement Paper, software vendors and service providers must upgrade their systems to support PINT A-NZ by 15 November 2024.

- Supporting sending functionality for PINT A-NZ invoices
- Updating Service Metadata Publisher (SMP) registrations
- Ensuring full receipt and processing capability for PINT A-NZ documents
