Newcastle Launches New E-Invoicing Hub for Hunter Region Businesses
Newcastle launches a new e-Invoicing Hub to support Hunter region businesses, boosting productivity, reducing fraud, and accelerating digital adoption in New South Wales.

Businesses in the Hunter region of New South Wales now have access to a dedicated e-Invoicing Hub designed to improve productivity and reduce fraud risks.
On 19 July 2023, in a joint media release, the Minister for Small Business and the Member for Newcastle announced the launch of the initiative, aimed at accelerating digital adoption among local businesses.
Supporting Digital Adoption
The Hub provides:
- Educational sessions on structured e-invoicing
- Practical guidance on implementation
- Awareness of productivity and cashflow benefits
- Information on fraud prevention through secure digital exchange
The program is focused on helping businesses understand how e-invoicing can streamline invoice processing, shorten payment cycles, and reduce manual errors.
Regional Engagement
The Newcastle launch marks the starting point for broader engagement activities across the Hunter region. Local businesses and advisors are encouraged to participate and explore how adopting structured electronic invoicing can strengthen operational efficiency.
By investing in regional support initiatives, New South Wales continues to advance Australia’s broader digital transformation strategy and promote increased uptake of interoperable e-invoicing solutions.
