Oman Prepares to Adopt the Peppol 5-Corner Model
Oman moves closer to adopting the Peppol 5-corner model as the Tax Authority seeks approval to become a Peppol Authority ahead of the 2026 e-invoicing pilot.

The Oman Tax Authority (OTA) is progressing toward the formal adoption of the Peppol 5-corner model, as part of the country’s upcoming e-invoicing framework. OTA is currently seeking the required approvals from relevant government departments before officially assuming the role of Peppol Authority.
Establishing a national Peppol Authority is a key step in enabling secure and standardized electronic invoice exchange. This move represents another important milestone in building Oman’s e-invoicing infrastructure ahead of the pilot phase scheduled to begin in August 2026.
Further announcements are expected once the approval process is complete and the formal designation is confirmed.
