How does e-Invoicing work in Malaysia?
Table of Contents
A supplier prepares invoice data in the required format and submits it to LHDN/HASiL through the MyInvois Portal or an API-integrated system. The system validates the submitted data against the applicable requirements. If validation succeeds, the e-Invoice receives a Unique Identifier Number (UUID) and validation information.
The supplier then shares the validated e-Invoice or its relevant representation with the buyer. The parties should retain the invoice and related records according to the applicable tax and record-keeping requirements.
