What is an Accredited Service Provider in Oman?
Table of Contents
An Accredited Service Provider, or ASP, is a company accredited by the Oman Tax Authority to provide e-invoicing services within the Fawtara framework.
Under Oman's 5-Corner model, service providers represent Corners 2 and 3. They are responsible for validating and exchanging e-invoices between taxpayers and reporting specified tax data to OTA. Companies wishing to become service providers must apply for accreditation and satisfy OTA's technical, security, commercial, and testing requirements.
An organization can also potentially act as its own service provider if it meets the required criteria and successfully completes OTA's prescribed accreditation and testing process.
