Start by confirming whether your business and transactions fall within the UAE e-invoicing scope, then check the implementation timeline that applies to your business. Under the published rollout, businesses with annual revenue of AED 50 million or more have a mandatory implementation date of 1 January 2027 and an ASP appointment deadline of 31 October 2026 following the 2026 amendment. Businesses below AED 50 million have a 1 July 2027 implementation date and a 31 March 2027 ASP appointment deadline. In-scope government entities have a 1 October 2027 implementation date and a 31 March 2027 ASP appointment deadline. Confirm the latest official decisions before acting on a deadline.

Next, select an accredited service provider and assess your systems, invoice data, tax scenarios, and integration requirements. Clean supplier and customer master data, map fields, and identify processes that need special handling. Involve Finance, Tax, IT, procurement, and operations early so that technical and business requirements are considered together.

Finally, test before go-live. Run representative invoices and credit notes through the complete process, check statuses and error handling, reconcile invoice records with your accounting system, train users, and document how incidents will be managed. Keep a clear implementation plan with owners and milestones.
