Peppol has published updated MY PINT e-invoicing specifications version 1.1.0 for Malaysia, covering billing and self-billing processes and aligning with IRBM and national e-invoicing requirements.
OpenPeppol has released updated Malaysian e-invoicing specifications aligned with the Peppol PINT methodology, supporting both standard billing and self-billing scenarios.
In November 2024, the following updated document specifications for Malaysia were published:
- PINT BIS Malaysia Billing Process 1.1.0, covering invoice and credit note transactions
- PINT BIS Malaysia Self-Billing Process 1.1.0, covering self-billing invoice and credit note transactions
Scope and Compliance
These specifications are developed in accordance with Peppol Business Interoperability Specifications (BIS) using the PINT methodology and are aligned with the requirements of the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM).
The updated versions refine data structures and validation rules to support compliant electronic invoicing under Malaysia’s national e-invoicing framework, while improving interoperability across service providers and business platforms.
This release supports Malaysia’s continued transition toward mandatory e-invoicing and helps businesses and solution providers align with the latest technical standards.
